the hell?
seriously...the hell?
If you have not already done so - go to the Captain Jackson website and watch that shiz. (Yes, I just said "shiz" and yes, I know I'm a white girl from Nebraska - save the e-mails.) In keeping with our "All Dian, All the Time" theme this month, click on them thar thumbnail-type thingers to your left to see some very frightening images.

I found a small mention of South Park in an article about .:vomit:. on Canada.com. Seriously...and a Canadian friend of mine just asked me "what was the whole deal with "blame canada"?" Well, what do you expect when CANADA DOT COM has a whole big article on .:VOMIT:.?? (Upon further review by way of a Google news search, I realized this article is a Canadain Press release...it's in papers all over Canada. Bwahahaha!)
It's a game to the kids on South Park.
Um, no, I don't think it is. I double-checked with someone who knows more about South Park than I do, and they assured me the boys had not played any games involving puke.

Dateline Alabama: so there's this *ahem* Canadian guy doing Shakespeare to the tune of the Simpsons. Apparently in his show he makes references to South Park as well. I think we all know the only reason I'm including this is because the guy is Canadian and it just further illustrates the point that Canadians need to be made fun of by Americans. (And I thought it was funny to be able to use "Dateline Alabama".)

Can you say "backhanded compliment" boys and girls? Martyn Glanville of the BBC can! martYn. Mmmkay.

Martyn Glanville, BBC: As brainless as the movie incarnations of both South Park and Beavis and Butt-head, "Jackass" is just as funny as both
Finally, bad - but not unexpected - news on the South Park Season Two DVD set. This from South Park Studios:
There will be no commentaries from Matt and Trey (drunk or sober) available on the Season Two DVD set. The Complete Second Season is scheduled for release on 6/03/2003, with a retail tag of $49.98.
Great. Thanks Warner Brothers. Not only does this totally suck, but now I have one lone double CD stuck in with all my DVDs! It just doesn't look right! I'm going to have some sort of OCD episode over this, I just know it.

Click right there on Matt's pretty torso, then give your thanks to Uncle Mattt Potter by visiting OrgazmoDVD and CrapTV. While you're there, join the forums. (I'm such a message board slut.)

What does Brian Boitano do nowadays? You're right - not much. But he does dig the South Park.

What do Matt & Trey, Elton John and Roseanne Barr have in common? They're all Denver trivia fodder. Who'd'a thunk?

What do Matt & Trey and Dennis Hopper have in common? You may have seen the blip on SouthParkStudios about Matt & Trey being honored at the Santa Monica Film Festival later this month. Good ol' Dennis Hopper will be honored as well.

If any of you have had the flu that's been going around lately, you have all my sympathy. As bad as it is around here, I can't imagine no one else is having outbreaks. Oh, and I formatted my drive AGAIN this past weekend. I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain to me how writing and distributing a virus or trojan brings enjoyment to one's life. Because, really, if you get your rocks off because you caused me to erase my hard drive, you really need to get out more.

As you all know, there's not much news to report, but I did find this tidbit from The News-Star Online. It's nothing we don't already know, but it's still nice to see South Park mentioned.

If you're in New York, you can catch Kati Barath's art exhibit. Here's what The New York Times says:
This young painter from Cologne, Germany, makes monumental pictures of people with giant round heads, tiny eyes and rudimentary partly nude bodies, who resemble characters in the television cartoon "South Park."
I would really like to see just how much they resemble SP characters...my guess is not at all.
