Well, I would have had this stuff up earlier this week, but technical difficulties abound (still). You will notice that the BASEketball, Cannibal, Dian, Eric, and Matt galleries all have updated scripts that should work for the XP users out there. On a little side note, I also typed up an article for the new BASEketball section that I found in the February issue of Glamour magazine about Yasmine Bleeth's cocaine problem. I warn you, only venture into this article if you can stand to lose a few IQ points. I was reluctant to post it up at first but I figured it would be good for a laugh. This girl will not be winning any intelligence contests in the near future. Drugs are bad m'kay.

First thing's first - we're doing some cleaning around here and reorganizing some of the content of the site. You should not see any outward differences, as we're really just moving pictures and stuff to different directories. However, it is possible that some of you might get some "File not found" errors or links that come up pointing to the wrong thing. If that happens, go back to the previous page (the one on which you clicked the link) then right-click on the page, somewhere in that frame (in other words, not up above were it says "Welcome.." and not over to the side where the picture strip and menu is) and choose "Refresh". I know some crappy ISPs like AOL cache webpages and you may have trouble with the updated links. Give my instructions a try before you panic. If that doesn't work, try closing your browser and opening it again - that will sometimes clear things out for you.

On to more enjoyable stuff news! Here's the official word from South Park Studios: "The first part of Season Seven will premiere on March 19th 2003, with seven new episodes." The fourth episode of season 7 will be the 100th episode of South Park! Will they do something amazing and special to mark the event...or will they completely ignore it? It's Matt & Trey - things could go either way.

One more thing - here's some news from our good friend beefylogs: #southpark-episodes from DALnet has moved to its new, permanent home at irc.tveps.net. Visit them for all your South Park (and many other cartoons & general entertainment) download needs!

Hey all. I'm finally getting back to doing some serious work on the site. One of the things I have done today is to add a "new" icon. This will make it easier to notice when and where we have put up something that's... uh... new.

The next change you all may notice is a minor change in the Eye Candy section. Apparently, the pop-up windows that we have are not working properly with Windows XP. (GET BILL GATES IN H'YAW!) I will be going down the list and fixing all of the existing pages. This will obviously delay the appearance of new eye candy for awhile. (As if it hasn't already taken me long enough.) I apologize for the delay, especially since I have yet to grace this site with a Trey section. Soon, ladies, soon.

Today I found out that Will has the Matt Math essay on his site - the original .pdf saved from Blue Lawn. Ah well, it fits in with all our layout on here since I re-typed it. If you wanna see the original, check it out here.

There aren't any other updates to speak of, but I did move those Rob Schneider spoofs to a newly created South Park sounds page. I plan on re-tooling some other stuff as far as "organizational" issues, so the menu over there might have some different choices or something within the next couple of weeks.

So this Mormon paper has a very detailed article on the Sundance Festival. And this paper references Matt & Trey....but they don't say anything about Lapdance! Fuckers.

"Dan [Mirvish] and Shane [Fitzpatrick, who co-founded Slamdance with Baxter] had met for the first time at the [Independent Film Project] Market in September 1994. They discussed, 'Hey, what if we don't get into Sundance?' Dan had remembered that ['South Park' creators] Trey Parker and Matt Stone had actually shown their film ['Cannibal! The Musical'] in a hotel room the year before. We said, 'If we don't get in, why don't we do this together?' There was the seed -- all the films in the first Slamdance had been rejected by Sundance. . . .

I link this article about some generic "adult" cartoon only because I like this quote, "That distinguishes it from "South Park," which is more subversive and more likely to cross the line of good taste."

And now for the big news of the day: I found a crumpled up bunch of papers under the passenger seat of my car. I pulled them out and realized it was a printout of Matt's essay "Why I Like Math" which I'd printed probably two years ago. So I tried to go back to the site on which I'd seen it, but that site doesn't seem to exist anymore. So I typed out the whole thing, just for all of you! Please to be checking it out hyaw.

I found this great article at The Stanford Daily Online which gives a nice introduction to the "phenomenon" of South Park Republicans. To be honest, I haven't paid much attention before to the mention of South Park Republicans because I generally find politics to be boring. But this is a brief, well-written article which helped me feel not-so-clueless about the whole thing.

I also found myself reading something on Gambling Magazine. I feel dirty for some reason - I think it's the tacky graphics. You know, slot machine manufacturers saying they don't market towards kids sounds a bit like the tobacco industry saying they've never marketed towards kids.

That's it for now, friends!

If you haven't done so already, get your butt over to CRAPtv now. It took me this long to get to actually viewing the other short films posted there - and I got a very nice surprise when I watched "For Goodness Sake II." Go - now - you won't regret it!

Well, looky there! If'n you click on that manly man right there, you'll be magically transported to a land in which you can actually hear his dreamy voice. And once you're there, you need to check out all the other CRAP there is! ***Be sure to watch the Cannibal! deleted scene on the main c.r.a.p. site*** It's not the same one posted before.

One more little note: my favorite South Park quote has struck a chord with someone else on the Net. Check out this article from Tech Central Station which references the increasingly insightful, if somewhat preachy, Stan Marsh.

Haowdy Ho! Guess what people? No, Orgazmo is still not out on DVD, but CrapTV is back! You can watch & rate the shorts, read the new CrapMag, post on the forum, and - this is the coolest - buy Crap Schwag! I'm staying away from that part for now, though, 'cause I'm po'.

So I found this mention of South Park...be forewarned, though, this guy is kind of...interesting. I'm going to have to read that article again later - when I'm awake. As it is now, he just scares me. It's the whole tone of his essay, the ridiculously intense publicity shot, and the name of the publication (I can't help but laugh since I'm currently drinking a Sierra Mist, which, incidentally, is not the same as that lame "wine" Arbor Mist). To save the rest of you the trouble of having to weed through this guy's tripe, here's the SP bit:
Perhaps it is better that the Afrikaners stay in South Africa and fight for their freedom. Who could imagine them living in the U.S. subjected to South Park, Dennis Rodman and the Ozbournes?
WTF is OZbournes? ARGH! IF you're going to rag on something, at least get the spelling right!

How cool is that banner? Thanks to visitor Nick who sent the banner to us a while ago. We were on haitus (no, really?) so this is the first time I've really had a chance to put that up for everyone to see.

It's back to trolling for MNT mentions...
Australia likes lesbians. I guess that's what this article is telling us. It only mentions South Park once in passing, but for our heterosexual male visitors, there's a pic of some tame girl-on-girl action for you. Don't say we never gave you anything!

South Park made it on a bunch of "Best of TV" lists for last year:
The Orlando Sentinel
Some guy named Jerry Greene says "Best TV of 2002 -- 24, Simpsons, Monk, Pardon the Interruption, West Wing, South Park, Angel/Buffy, Whose Line Is It Anyway."
The San Francisco Examiner
"The Best Reason to Get Cable Besides HBO's Series: FX's "The Shield," Bravo's "Breaking News," Comedy Central's "South Park," USA's "Monk" and "The Dead Zone.""
The Chicago Tribune
"The next 10: (Alphabetically): "The American Experience," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," "Gilmore Girls," "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The Shield," "Six Feet Under," "South Park," "24," "Will & Grace.""
The Chicago Sun-Times
Phil Rosenthal rates & explains: "8. “South Park” (Comedy Central) Skewering hot-button issues, pop culture and inflated pop figures, the little construction-paper scamps use low humor to offer lofty commentary and, more often than not, it works—if you get past the crudeness of it all."
The Star Ledger
Alan Sepinwall says: "Yes, it's gleefully disgusting and juvenile, but there's more to "South Park" than bad language and gross-out humor. There's a genuine sense of outrage at the stupidity, selfishness and injustice in this world. Trey Parker and Matt Stone's simple-looking creation became more sophisticated than ever this year, with scathing spoofs of the Catholic Church scandals, politicians and musicians who exploited 9/11 for personal gain, Russell Crowe and TV psychic John Edward. At times it was sicker than ever, notably in depicting the adventures of class pet Lemmiwinks, which I can't remotely describe here. But whether being smart or stupid, "South Park" remains a comedy treasure. "
The Concord & Kannapolis Independent Tribune has an interesting prediction for 2003: "U.S. Rep. Robin Hayes will note that many terrorist cells have been found to have operatives in Canada, and he will lobby for President Bush to declare war on our Neighbors to the North, with the rally song of “Blame Canada” from the “South Park” movie as his battle cry."

And before I go, here's something to help you waste - I mean pass - your time. Have fun!
