January 9, 2004 7:54pm CST Thought we forgot about the site, didn't ya. Just a quickie, but you like it that way. You know you do. My mom kicks so much ass. She sent me this email the other day: Hi, I thought you would find this interesting. In next weeks TV Guide in the Cheers and Jeers section they give South Park a cheer. I thought you might want it for your website. Here is exactly what it said: "Cheers to South Park for its amazingly quick parody of Saddam Hussein's capture. A mere four days after the news was reported, the season finale of Comedy Central's gleefully rude cartoon lampooned the Iraqi dictator and ended with a full-blown musical number. And we thought The Daily Show was timely." Mom See? She rocks. ~Angie
November 6, 2003 6:44pm CST We have added a new page: Wallpapers! It can be found in the Eye Candy section under... um, wallpapers. To kick the page off, we're sending you a special Thanksgiving wish to help you get in a holiday mood. I know I got in the mood when I was making it, don't know if it had much to do with holidays though. That hairy tummy and those leather pants get me everytime. ;)
November 5, 2003 11:00pm CST We have lost sight of the saucer nipples and sweet hairy ass.It is our intention to rectify *cough* that situation at once. [cue nostalgic-sounding piano music] When we started this site, it was simply in order to fill our own selfish desires for a Matt & Trey fansite that appealed to us. There were fansites out at the time, the largest and most famous of which was DTISFU, and we frequented those fansites, but we wanted something tailored to our own wants. So why bother making a public website if we were doing this all for ourselves? Because we have a larger world view? Basically, if we created a site that we loved, wouldn't some other people love it as well? We didn't create the site to be popular, but it certainly grew in popularity! And with that popularity came what we perceived to be a certain responsibility. Unfortunately, as is often the case, we started to confuse that responsibility with obligation. And when our real lives became hectic, instead of looking at this site as a fun escape, we saw it as a burden. We felt guilty if we went a couple of weeks without working on something site-related. We felt as if we were slacking if we didn't make a certain quota of updates. [cue faster, more upbeat music] We had a little chat about the state of the site, and we've revised our vision - or, more accurately, we've decided to try and get back to what we originally had in mind for the site. And that vision [cue inspirational crescendo in music] is for this site to be a magnificent collection of images, videos, and random Matt & Trey fanstuff. So what does this mean to you, our faithful visitor? You won't have to put up with our South Park reviews anymore, for one thing. We've also decided to do away with episode previews and generic South Park news. Rest assured, if that's what you're looking for, there are some very good sites out there, most notably South Park Studios and Will's SP Scriptorium. We are still going to bring you updates about Matt & Trey appearances and related happenings. That might mean less-frequent updates, though. We're not going to lie to you. We're not going to slap up an update with some SP news that you can find somewhere else just to have an update. That's lame. We don't want to be lame. We've also come to terms with our inner fangirls. It's quite conceivable that you may find content in our updates that borders on gushing, and, dare I say it, froofiness. And that's because, in getting back to our original vision, we're reaffirming our love for Matt & Trey. We want to share this with all of you. Don't worry, there won't be any "OMG LOLZ!!!1 MNT R TEH K00L3ST! I WANT 2 HAF 10000 OF THERE BABIEZ!!1" Now, specifically, what do we have planned for the site?
~~Zuzu & Angie
