I mean, seriously. Look how close together some of these posts are! Mere seconds and minutes away! Obviously we love conversations . . . I think this site would benefit so much from a little chat room added on. How about it? |

Wait, that comment about the site sounded a bit snobby. It wouldn't benefit. It would just be an exciting addition. You guys work so hard to keep this site updated and fun and I, for one, love it. So a chat room would be an added bonus, but the site is still awesome how it is. Sorry if I was rude back there. :) It came out the wrong way--no meanieness intended. |

I don't know IRC . . . I'm stuck at home on crappy AOL, but at school nothing should be a problem. Free internet connection is really very beneficial. What about a chat room through AIM for the time being until one (hopefully!) gets put up on this site? I'm sure a lot of people use AIM for IMs and whatnot. We'll schedule a meeting time and day in advance so more people can come! |

I am not familiar with AOL at all, and I've never used AIM. If you are able to download stuff, you could download mIrc. It's totally easy to use. spacemancraig, do you use irc? If so, what server? I'm on a private server right now, but can always jump to EFnet, or dalnet or whatever. ~~Zuzu |

Okay, I'm currently downloading IRC. Cross your fingers my computer won't screw it up. It's 31% done right now. Should take about 5-10 minutes to finish downloading and about 5 to set it up. So if you're going to be anywhere in about 10-15 minutes, do post so I can find my posting buddies and chat, if that's okay. :) And since I have no idea what I'm downloading, good directions as to where to go would be super sweet like Cartman. See SP Staff! We like chatting! We need a room! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee! Oh, and now 46% done. Going faster than I thought. |

I just finished downloading mirc from www.mirc.com. Hope that was the right place to go. AIM is the AOL instant messanger service for internet users. I use that mostly to chat. My SN is Jennorific93, if anyone ever catches me on, feel free to IM and say hi. Okay--now to set up mirc! (I hope!) |

The way IRC works is this: you have to get on a server to talk to other ppls. EFnet and dalnet are like networks of these servers. If I'm on an EFnet server and you are on a dalnet server we won't be able to chat. irc is *very* easy to use. spacemancraig, are you using a PC or a Mac? If you need to download an irc client, go with mirc for PC or ircle for Mac. I can answer any other questions you have about irc. :) ~~Zuzu |

SweEet jenno! When you get on mirc it will ask you to connect to a server.... I can tell you how to get on this private one I'm on... there should be a window that says mIRC options, and on the right side will be "add" "edit" "delete" adn "sort" options. Click on "Add" In the description just type "wrasse" or anything you want to call it. in "IRC Server type this: wrasse.aquaria.org leave the other stuff as it is and click "add" That server name should show up in the mirc options... fill in something under "full name" and "email address" (it doesn't have to be accurate). Then pick a nickname and an alternate, and click CONNECT :D It should connect and a "Channel Folders" window will pop up In the space type #Zuzu and you will be connected to my channel. I will be waiting. :) |

Well, double-click on the icon wherever you saved it to. I'm assuming you've installed it already. After that, you should have a big window with "File" in the corner. Go to file, and then go to connect. Connect to a dalnet server. Hopefully, that will go through. And what's your name, too? |

I installed IRC ages ago....but it never grew on me. Kodos had just left and I'm all alone now. If I didn't have a 14 month old baby screaming I would go and have a sleep. Madame Lash~~~ PS. I could really do with a Red Bull and a Viking Guarana chocolate bar right now if I plan to hold out for another 24 hours of no sleep or barely no sleep :) |

disconnect from where you are..then open "File" and "Options" Above the "Connect to IRC Server" get it to drop down and find a dalnet server, doesn't really matter which. Choose it and connect then join us :) |
